Commercial Fire Alarm Systems

It’s vital that you can rely on your commercial fire alarm system to protect your building and assets, and, ultimately, save people’s lives.

The system needs to detect fire quickly and warn occupants of the potential danger. At the same time, you need a system that has false alarm immunity to minimise unwanted alarms.

There’s a wide variety of commercial fire alarms on the market, so you need to ensure you get the best advice and a system that suits your needs.

We can offer you a choice of new commercial fire alarm systems that use the latest technology, or provide advice on maintaining, upgrading or replacing your existing system. We have a highly skilled engineering team, bringing decades of hands-on industry experience. Whatever route you take, you’re backed by that depth of knowledge from day one.

As part of the wider andwis Group, we can draw on additional national capability when a project calls for it, all while keeping the specialist, hands-on expertise that’s always set Senseco Systems apart.

Commercial fire alarm installation, tailored to your building

No two commercial fire alarm installations are the same. A multi-site retail estate, a corporate office, and a healthcare building all bring their own risks, layouts and occupancy patterns, so it’s vital that you receive the best advice and a system that’s designed around your building rather than a standard spec.

We pride ourselves on our extensive experience across a wide range of commercial, legacy, and specialist fire alarm systems throughout the UK. Whatever your building’s requirements, you can be confident we’ve got the expertise to meet them.

Fire detection systems, on open and managed protocols

We are authorised system integrators with training and software to support many “managed protocol” fire detection systems such as Gent, Notifier, Siemens Cerberus Pro, Edwards EST3–4, Ziton and Fireclass. We’re also experienced in “open protocol” fire systems such as Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Apollo and Hochiki, but our expertise goes much further.

We can work with the Wormald PBS, Simplex and many other legacy fire systems, where specialist knowledge and programming ability is essential. Our team brings extensive knowledge across commercial fire alarm and specialist detection systems.

Commercial fire alarm installers, backed by lifecycle support

We offer service and maintenance of commercial fire alarms, and also have a dedicated team able to provide condition surveys, reports and life cycle migration for your system.

It doesn’t matter if your installation is a few years old or approaching the end of its working life, we can help you plan the right time to upgrade rather than waiting for a fault to force the decision. It’s an approach that keeps your building protected and your budget under control, year after year.

Commercial fire alarm manufacturer partnerships

When it comes to new commercial fire alarm systems, we have partnerships with leading manufacturers including Notifier, Gent, and Apollo. This means we’re never boxed into one option and we can recommend the right solution based on your building, your existing infrastructure, and your long-term requirements.

What’s more, our manufacturer-independent approach means we’re not tied to a single manufacturer or product range. Solutions are selected based on technical suitability, existing infrastructure, and lifecycle requirements, so the system you end up with is entirely built around what works best for you.

Accredited to the highest industry standards

Senseco Systems is certificated to LPS 1014 by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), covering the design, installation, commissioning and servicing of fire detection and alarm systems under the LPS 1014 scheme. We are also a Full Member of the Fire Industry Association (FIA) and operate an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, with a certified scope that includes fire detection and alarm systems.

This means you’re working with a partner that’s been assessed against the standards that matter, giving you full confidence and peace of mind.

Somerset House

Somerset House is a heritage property dating back to 1547 in the heart of London. Although it is well known for it’s outdoor skating rink at Christmas and open air concerts in the summer, it has many other uses and accommodates many other tenants. It hosts the UK’s largest creative community working globally across art, technology, business and social enterprise.

The South Wing of Somerset House had a mix of hard wired fire detection system, an obsolete radio / wireless fire detection system and many aspiration systems, most no longeroperational. The project was to replace all of the systems in the South Wing with a single fire detection system for all areas and provide graphical representation of this wing and two other wings with legacy systems on a single graphics platform.

This was all to be carried out within a listed building with mixed use and different tenants with minimal disruption to day to day operations.
