OUR FIRE CAPABILITY

When it comes to choosing the right fire system for you, we know that safety and compliance are key. At the core are the aims of protecting people and property from harm and complying with the law. You can trust us to deliver a system that meets these requirements, and more.

While prevention is crucial, we have the expertise to ensure you have the most reliable system in place should a fire break out.

We understand the importance of good design, technically-advanced products, expert installation and commissioning, and, of course, thorough maintenance.

And because every business is different, we will work with you to provide a system that is tailored to you, whether you’re looking for a new installation, a system upgrade, service and maintenance, or a combination of these services.

FIRE DETECTION AND ALARM

It’s vital that you can rely on your fire detection and alarm system to protect your building and assets, and ultimately, save people’s lives.

The system must detect fire quickly and warn occupants of the potential danger. At the same time, you need a system that isn’t susceptible to false alarms.

There is a wide variety of systems on the market, so it’s crucial that you receive the best advice and a system that suits your needs.

SPECIALIST DETECTION INCLUDING VIDEO

We offer a board range of specialist detection systems, designed to perfectly fit in with your requirements.

We will help you to choose a system that suits your environment, whether it’s dusty, dirty or a wide open space, for example. We also take into account the type of fires you potentially need protection from and the risks of false alarm.

We can also provide a range of multi-criteria sensors with smoke, heat and carbon monoxide elements to respond to a wide range of fires, while being resilient against false alarms. An example is the ASA detector, where we offer our FAITH guarantee against false alarms.

We even offer “Self-test” detectors which have internal components to functionally test the device via the panel which is visually verified by our engineers on site in Blue Tooth range.

FALSE ALARM IMMUNITY - FAITH GUARANTEE

We know that reliability is important to you. You need to be sure your fire system is fit for purpose and not prone to false alarms. After all, false alarms cost money and could lead to people ignoring a genuine alarm.

And that’s why we have introduced our exclusive FAITH ( False Alarm Immune Technology) guarantee. The bold gesture represents our confidence in the technology we use andour high level of service.

ASPIRATING SMOKE DETECTION

This type of smoke detection was originally used for high sensitivity environments such as data centers, but is in fact, suitable for a wide variety of applications and for different reasons.

Aspirating Smoke Detectors (ASD) are ideal if you need very early warning, enhanced smoke sensitivity, or and an alternative to point or beam smoke detectors.

There are specific industry guidelines in the FIA Code of practice for Design, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Aspirating Smoke Detector Sytems.

WIRELESS SMOKE DETECTION

There are many environments where it’s difficult to install cabling to fire detection and alarm devices. For these areas, radio/wireless detection systems are ideal.

A heritage site is an example of where this type of detection can be used. Here, cabling would damage the building fabric or spoil the appearance of the site. Other examples are external plant rooms and areas that are difficult to access, where the high cost of running cabling is likely to be a major issue. And wireless systems are also suitable for temporary systems.

MAINTENANCE & ADVICE

Our team has serviced and maintained just about every type of fire system installed in the UK, regardless of it’s make.

We are authorised system integrators with training and software to support many managed protocol systems such as Gent, Notifier, Siemens Cerberus Pro, Edwards EST3 – 4, Ziton, Fireclass. We’re also experienced in “open protocol fire systems such as Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Apollo and Hochiki but our expertise goes much further.

We can work with the old Wormald PBS, Simplex and many other “obscure” fire systems, where specialist knowledge and programming ability is essential. Plus, we can take on closed protocol systems, while at the same time clearly defining the support we can give. We’re ready to share with you our vast knowledge on all fire alarm and specialist detection systems.

Somerset House

Somerset House is a heritage property dating back to 1547 in the heart of London. Although it is well known for it’s outdoor skating rink at Christmas and open air concerts in the summer, it has many other uses and accommodates many other tenants. It hosts the UK’s largest creative community working globally across art, technology, business and social enterprise.

The South Wing of Somerset House had a mix of hard wired fire detection system, an obsolete radio / wireless fire detection system and many aspiration systems, most no longeroperational. The project was to replace all of the systems in the South Wing with a single fire detection system for all areas and provide graphical representation of this wing and two other wings with legacy systems on a single graphics platform.

This was all to be carried out within a listed building with mixed use and different tenants with minimal disruption to day to day operations.

Castle Mall

Located in the centre of Norwich City, Castle Mall shopping centre comprises of 60 stores and food outlets, across five levels of retail and leisure, including an 8-screen Vue cinema. The centre also boasts a 790 space multi-storey car park.

The fire detection and alarm system installed in the shopping centre was a Honeywell FC90 system, which was closed protocol and had reached the end of its working life. A replacement system was therefore needed to provide a modern supportable system for the shopping centre.

This is a working shopping centre so minimal disruption to the operation of the shopping centre, retailers and shoppers was of paramount importance.
